Job Description of DRA Branch

  • Branch deals with the recovery matters of Taxes/Government dues monitored by the Board of Revenue, Punjab
  • Declaration of different amounts as arrears of land Revenue for recovery against the defaulters under Land Revenue Act, 1967
  • Appointment of Lambardars/Village Headman in accordance with Land Revenue Rules, 1967

Procedure for each Task/ Assignment

  • The Branch receives the monthly statements of recovery of Taxes/Government due from the Tehsils tiers & compiles the District data and sends the same to the Commissioner Office and Board of Revenue Punjab as well almost on 10th of every month
  • Receive the requests from the different departments for declaration of outstanding amounts against the defaulters as arrear of Land Revenue for recovery, declared the same as arrears of Land Revenue and sent to the Tehsildar concerned for recovery
  • Receive the reports from the Assistant Commissioners of the District for appointment of Lambardars, scrutinize the same and put before the District Collector for hearing the parties to appoint the suitable candidate as Lamberdar
  • Attend the each case immediately and forwarded to the competent authority
  • Immediately attend the persons who visit the office for their problems and try to redress their problems
