Office of Industries, Prices, Weights and Measures works under the Directorate General of Industries, Prices, Weights and Measures, Punjab. This department is governed under the provision of Constitution of Pakistan. This Department was established at district level in 2000 after devolution headed by District Officer.

Burewala Textile Mills Limited (BTM)

Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Depot

Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the leading oil marketing company of Pakistan, established its Bulk Oil Depot in Vehari in 1961. The storage capacity of this depot is HSD 2,300,000 liters and SKO 136,000 liters while Altron capacity is about 200,000 liters. This Bulk Oil Depot not only fulfills the requirements of Pakistan Army but also facilitates 450 petrol pumps of different districts of the region including Vehari, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanewal and Multan. All fuel is being supplied to these oil points from this depot. It is a key point and being looked after by Federal Government’s department KPID. During last shortage span of fuel in the country, PSO Vehari Depot remained operational 24/7 even on holidays to serve the locals and played the role of national flag company.
