Job Description of General Branch
Branch deals with the following matters
- To arrange District Intelligence Meetings twice a month or as and when the Competent authority desires
- Allotment of official residences
- Stamp Vendors
- Renewal of spoiled stamps
- General Law & Order meetings
- Security arrangements on important events
- Release of under trial prisoners on parole
- Permissions of religious/ traditional programme and holding of processions/ political gatherings etc
- Appointment of notary public
- Authentication of declaration of Newspaper and Printing Press under Press Law
- NOCs of Cinemas /Theatre
- Cases of 4th Schedulers
- Gagging/Banning of entry of Ulmas and anti-state elements
- Miscellaneous work
