Job Description of General Branch

 Branch deals with the following matters

  • To arrange District Intelligence Meetings twice a month or as and when the Competent authority desires
  • Allotment of official residences
  • Stamp Vendors
  • Renewal of spoiled stamps
  • General Law & Order meetings
  • Security arrangements on important events
  • Release of under trial prisoners on parole
  • Permissions of religious/ traditional programme and holding of processions/ political gatherings etc
  • Appointment of notary public
  • Authentication of declaration of Newspaper and Printing Press under Press Law
  • NOCs of Cinemas /Theatre
  • Cases of 4th Schedulers
  • Gagging/Banning of entry of Ulmas and anti-state elements
  • Miscellaneous work

Procedure for each Task/ Assignment

The Competent Authority passes suitable orders after fulfillment of all codal formalities required under the law/policy/rules

Timeline for Each Task

  • All the cases are dealt on daily disposal basis
