The Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department, Government of the Punjab is the custodian of the Muslim shrines, mosques and the waqf properties attached to these shrines and mosques. The proprietorship of all these lands / properties lies with Allah (S.W.T). There is a huge potential for generation of income from these waqf properties which ultimately can contribute a tangible and substantial part for the welfare of shrines / mosques, and for needy people. The formulation of Auqaf Land Directory is the first maiden step toward the optimum use waqf land for the purpose of charity.
